The work I create is how I perceive the world around me. Humanity is a huge aspect of my practice, showing the vulnerability of being a person in a complicated world. I'm constantly thinking about my emotions like they are tangible things moving (or not) through me like my body is a vessel for these objects. My works are visual representations of physical sensations I feel but don't have the eloquent words for. Instead, I utilize a variety of media and subject matter to arrange these emotional and physical situations. I explore fear, grief, anger, weakness, hopelessness, relief, connection, and more. The world around me feels so large and complicated, but the universe of thoughts and emotions in each of us is even more so. I am simply creating artifacts of my own emotional universe.
